- Osnovan je 1907. kao Kolozsvari Vasutas Sport Club.
- 1919. godine nakon pripojena Rumunjskoj klub je preimenovan
u CFR Caile Ferate Romane,
(kratica za rumunjsko državno željezničko poduzeće).
- Igraju na stadionu Dr. Constantin Rădulescu.
- Stadion prima 23 500 posjetitelja.
- Igraju u prvoj Rumonjskoj ligi (Liga 1).
- Bili su dvaput prvaci Rumunjske (2007./08., 2009./10.).
- Triput su osvojili kup (2007./08., 2008./09., 2009./10.).
- Superkup su osvojili dvaput (2009., 2010.).
