- Bernard Vukas (Bajdo) legenda nogometnog kluba Hajduk iz Splita.
- Rođen je 1.5.1927. u Zagrebu gdje i umire 4.4.1983.
- Igrao je na mjestu napadača.
- Karijeru je započeo 1938. u klubu HŠK Concordia iz Zagreba. Godine 1945. prelazi u NK Amater, a 1946. u NK Zagreb.
- Od 1947 igra za HNK Hajduk iz Splita i postaje legenda.
- S Hajdukom osvaja nogometna prvenstva Jugoslavije 1950., 1952. i 1955. godine.
- Na Olimpijskim igrama 1948. u Londonu i 1952. u Helsinkiju osvojio je srebrnu medalju.
- Zapaženo je igrao i na dva Svjetska prvenstva, u Brazilu 1950. te u Švicarskoj 1954.
- 1955. godine je proglašen zanajboljeg jugoslavenskog sportaša.
- Vukas je bio legendarni kapetan Hajduka, za kojeg je odigrao 615 utakmica i postigao 300 golova
- Za Jugoslaviju je nastupio 59 puta i pritom postigao 22 gola.
- 1955 je proglašen za najboljeg nogometaša Evrope.
- Bernard Vukas je proglašen najboljim hrvatskim sportašem 20. stoljeća.
